Allcoffee is a company that manufactures & distributes high quality coffee. Born as a family project, Allcoffe has over 70 years promoting the culture of espresso and gourmet coffee. It has been present in the United States since 2007.
Allcoffee’s products are made from 100% natural coffee beans that are selected, mixed, roasted & packaged in the USA. The company manages its own warehousing and distribution operations.
Alcoffee’s headquarters are located in South Florida and their customers include bars, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, cafes & even supermarkets.
Allcoffee was facing distribution efficiency problems. Business volumes were growing, but the company could not meet the rising demand in an efficient way. The sales team, responsible for deliveries to regular customers and new account acquisition, found its capacity overwhelmed.
The company had several fixed monthly delivery points, with supply frequency varying between 1, 2 or 4 times per month. Lack of organization in distribution led to delay and as a consequence, little time was left to acquire new accounts.
After trying to solve this problem internally and not achieving results, Allcoffee contacted GlobalTech's office in the US.
GlobalTech carried out an audit to analyze and define optimal and modeled routes for each seller, based on a monthly period.
Firstly, the necessary time for order deliveries and the remaining free time for new account generation was identified. Delivery points were then classified by supply frequency and zoning. The delivery load was distributed equally among the sales team, allowing for the creation of an ideal delivery schedule. Finally, our intelligent routing software was used to assist in mapping out ideal delivery paths.
The project was a success. Among the benefits obtained by Allcoffee we can mention delivery time reduction, logistics costs reduction, improvement on delivery planning and coordination, increase in successful deliveries & the generation of free time to allow the sales team to attract new accounts.
